As of the 25th, my first semester of Game Dev at Warren Tech has begun, albeit remote. Thus far we've done introductions and some project pitches. Although it's not final, I'm most interested in Katelyn Everts' project, "Squirkle and Beam". I really like the characters she's come up with, and they seem like a great opportunity to work on 3d character animation, not to mention Katelyn seems like a good leader and her enthusiasm is contagious. There are several other great project ideas I've heard, and I'd be happy to work on any of them. I do have my own idea that I like, but I'm not too attached.

Aside from that, I've been continuing to learn Blender, and I think I've got the hang of it now. There are still many things I've yet to understand, but I get the basics and I know I'm capable of learning the rest, it'll just take time. Mr. Compton said in a meeting that everyone should have at least a basic understanding of a game engine, which makes sense, so I downloaded Unreal. Unfortunately, I'm having some storage issues on my computer, so I haven't used it yet, but I will soon.

I'm exited for what's to come!
